The method
Visagism & Personalized Hair Design in Cinnaminson, NJ
A haircut designed from your face, not from a photo on a phone.
What it is
Reading the face first
Visagism is a method that reads your features, your hair texture and your routine, and translates them into a shape. It is common among Brazilian stylists and rare here, and it is the reason two people can ask for the exact same haircut and only one of them should walk out with it.
A cut is not a picture you copy. It is a shape that sits next to your face for the next three months.
The analysis
What I look at
The shape of your face
Where a line lands changes what your face reads as. Same hair, different place, different person.
Your features
What you want brought forward, and what you would rather keep quiet. That part is your call, not mine.
Your hair texture
How it falls when nobody is touching it. A shape that fights your texture loses every morning.
Your actual routine
If you have ten minutes, we design for ten minutes. Honest answers here save you months.
The consultation
How it goes
We start seated, talking, before anything else. Bring photos if you have them, they help me understand your taste even when they are not what will work on you. Then I tell you what your hair will really do with that shape, and we land on something you can live with on the days you do nothing to it.
Sometimes that means the photo. Often it means something close to the photo that will actually hold. You will know which one before I pick up the shears.
Women and men. Long, short, straight, curly.

Questions
About visagism
Do I have to pay extra for the analysis?
Every appointment starts with a consultation. It is part of the service, not a line on top of it.
Does it work on short hair?
Short hair is where it matters most. There is less length to hide behind, so every line is doing visible work.
Do you do men's cuts?
Yes. Same method, same consultation.
