Custom Highlights & Balayage in Cinnaminson, NJ
Hand painted color, placed for your face and your hair, that grows out soft instead of leaving a line.
What I do
Color services
-
Balayage
Painted by hand, soft at the root, so the grow out never draws a line across your head.
-
Foilyage
Painted like balayage, processed in foil. More lift, same soft transition.
-
Full and partial highlights
Classic placement when you want brightness through the whole head, or only where the light hits.
-
Brazilian blonde
Warm, lived in, sun grown. The blonde that does not read as a salon appointment.
-
Color correction
Box dye, a bad appointment, brass that will not leave. We plan the way back from where your hair is now.
-
Root touch up
Keeping what you already have, on schedule, without redoing the whole head.
Custom means what
Placement is not decoration
Where the light lands changes how your face reads, so I place it looking at you, not at a chart. Brightness near the jaw does one thing. Brightness at the cheekbone does another. Same color, same technique, different result on the same person.
Your hair first
Lightening has limits
Lightening is chemistry, and chemistry has limits. Before we start, I look at what your hair has already been through and we agree on how far we can go today and what we save for the next session.
Getting there in two visits with your hair intact beats getting there in one with it broken.
If what you are asking for would cost you your hair, I will tell you at the consultation, not halfway through.
Questions
Before you book color
I colored my hair at home. Can you fix it?
Yes, color correction is part of what I do. Bring photos of what it looked like before, if you have them, and we will plan the way back from where your hair is now.
How often do I need to come back?
Balayage is built to stretch, which is most of its appeal. Root touch ups run on a shorter clock. We set your schedule at the appointment, based on how fast your hair grows and how bright you want to stay.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is set at your consultation, based on your hair. Length, thickness and what your hair has already been through change the work enough that a fixed price list would be wrong for most people.
Let's talk about your color
Bring photos of what you want and, if you have them, photos of what your hair has been through. Both help.
